Privacy policy.
Who we are
Mees(ter) Sites is a one-person web design and development studio. This policy explains in plain language what data we collect when you visit meestersites.com or get in touch with us, why we collect it, and what your rights are under the GDPR. We keep things minimal: no newsletter, no ad profiles, no data trading.
What we collect
We only collect what we actually need to reply to you:
Contact form — when you fill in the form, we receive your name, company or studio name (optional), email address, project category, preferred timeline, project description, and how you heard about us.
Email correspondence — anything you send us and our replies.
The site also sets a small number of cookies. Those are listed separately in our cookie policy.
Go to cookie policyWhy we use it
- To read your message and write back.
- To meet legal obligations like invoicing and accounting if we end up working together.
We do not sell data, build advertising profiles, run a newsletter, or share your message outside the studio.
Who else touches it
We use a small set of trusted suppliers to run the studio. Each one only processes data on our instructions:
- Form delivery & email — Plunk (useplunk.com), EU
- Website hosting — Vercel, USA (Standard Contractual Clauses apply)
- Content management — Sanity, EU/USA (Standard Contractual Clauses apply)
- Consent management — c15t, EU
- Analytics (only with your consent) — Google Analytics via Google Ireland Ltd., EU/USA (Standard Contractual Clauses apply)
How long we keep it
- Contact-form messages — 24 months after our last conversation, then deleted.
- Invoices — 7 years (Belgian legal requirement).
- Analytics data — 14 months (Google Analytics default retention), and only collected if you have given consent.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us at any time to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct it if it's wrong
- Erase it
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Receive a portable copy
